EAST INDIAN ROSEWOOD (dalbergia latifolia) is the "industry standard" and an excellent choice for rosewood bodied guitars.

Unlike other rosewoods (like Cocobolo) EIR is very forgiving and does not tend to crack and glues and bends well.

The grading of EIR is done due to pure cosmetical aspects, while the dark and fine lined master grade sets are getting rare. Please note that even the lowest grade sets can make an outstanding sounding guitar.

This AAA/AA grade set is steel string sized and comes with oversized sides.

Wood may be a bit brownish from stocking, once sanded color will egalise to purple for a match with the sides.
