Product info:

COCOBOLO is a true rosewood (dalbergia retusa) and is mainly found in Mexico and Nicaragua. It´s color ranges widely, from reddish to dark chocolate brown all shades are common.

All our Cocobolo headplate blanks are steel-sting sized and fit also classical guitars as well as all (regular) electric guitars.

Wood was imported in 2012, fully airdried and ready to use (after acclimatisation in your workshop).

Hint: even the lighter colored or striped rosewood boards you can "tune down" to dark look by using our "Rio-tune" oil-stain for fretboards.
