COCOBOLO fretboard blanks, various

COCOBOLO is a true rosewood (dalbergia retusa) and is mainly found in Mexico and Nicaragua. It´s color ranges widely, from reddish to dark chocolate brown all shades are common.

All our Cocobolo fretboard blanks are steel-sting sized and fit also classical guitars as well as all (regular) electric guitars.

Not well anticipated by the Les Paul community, but it is a matter of fact that Gibson did not only use BRW during the "golden area" for their fingerboards, but Cocobolo, too.

Wood was imported in 2012, fully airdried and ready to use (after acclimatisation in your workshop).

Hint: even the lighter colored or striped rosewood boards you can "tune down" to dark look by using our "Rio-tune" oil-stain for fretboards.
