Fretboard Oil, 30ml / 1.01 oz.

This easy-to-use FRETBOARD OIL is custom formulated by SavantGuitars, only available from us.

This fretboard oil was specially formulated to minimize the wear of the fretboard wood and for penetrating the wood deeper than other products that are usually based on just mineral oils (like simple baby oil). Natural solvents and oils have been combined to get the desired results, this is the best fretboard oil we ever came across!
Only disadvantage is that you have to take a bit care to prevent the oil from coming in contact with the NC-finish of the guitar´s neck or body (do not use on NC-lacquered maple fingerboards): depending on the individual finish on your guitar this fretboard oil can cause irritatons of the finish, but in our opinion this little extra-care is worth to look at as the advantages of this unique fretboard oil are far superior.

Comes in a 30ml (1.01 fl. oz.) plastic bottle with dropper tip for all kinds of unfinished fretboard woods (like rosewoods and ebony). Flamable.

How to use:

1. Start with one single drop of oil applied to the wood (between two frets), instantly spread the liquid all over the wood of the fret you are working on with a piece of cloth (cotton) till the wood of this part (fret) looks wet.

2. Do this to all wood/frets.

3. You need just a few drops of oil for a whole fretboard! If the piece of cloth is saturated with oil from the prior wiping process this may be enough, the wood just has to look wet after wiping on the oil.

3. Let the oil penetrate the wood for 2-3 minutes, then use a new (unused) piece of cloth and wipe the wood dry.

4. Best is not to play the guitar you have freshly oiled for a few hours (otherwise the strings may get oily).

3. Done.
