Toggle-Drill Set (Les Paul)

Our friends from Savantguitars came up with this easy-to-use tool for creating the toggle-switch cavity for vintage correct 1959 Les Paul replicas: a custom made drill set for this operation

- 2 custom made Forstner drill bits: one for the recess for the plastic cover, the
   other for the main toggle switch cavity

- Forstner drill bits were made to the vintage correct specs of 54.7mm dia. (for the
   plastic cover) and 42.5mm (main toggle switch cavity)

- for usage with a drill press: just set the depth-stopp correctly and go on, no
   more guesswork or a tilt router base when the router reaches over the edge of
   the back...

- the tip of the bits ensures 100% exact positioning for the two drilling operations:
   start with the drill for the cover, the pivot tip will leave the center marked; then
   switch to the other router and place it´s pivot tip according the center-mark
   (from previous operation), drill down to the prior set depth-stopp - done.

- another benefit from the last step is that you are resulting in a center mark at
   the bottom/mahogany shim that is left in the cavity: this center mark makes the
   next steps easy, just place the drill(s) accordingly and go on.

- works great for the (other) e-cavity, too: before final routing the cavity the main
   wood is usually drilled out, using a large Forstern bit to save some time (and
   nerves): when positioning the pivot center of the Forstern drill at the center of
   the (later) pot positions you have the position of the drill for these marked by
   the center tip.
