Fretboard Oil Stain, brown "Rio tune", 30 ml (1.01 oz)

"Rio tune" is a custom blend oil stain that was designed to tune down esp. all kinds of rosewoods to a uniform and dark brown look, just like you know from BRW.

Deep penetrating and little lasts long: a few drops are enough for a full fretboard, the 30ml (1.01 oz) bottle lasts long.
We strongly recommend to wear gloves when applying, as long as it is wet this stuff is a beast. The stain is oil based, so your (water based) sweat will not result in brownfinger tips.

Easy to work with: after final sanding just wipe onto the wood, using a cloth or brush. Let dry and rubb off the board with a cloth afterwards.

You can use our black oil stain for mixing with our "Rio tune" rosewood oil stain for getting an even darker touch of the rosewood stain.

We recommend to use fretboard oil after applying the oil stain.

Luthier tip: works great to get an "almost black" look of old BRW fingerboards as found on vintage Les Pauls. Just mix a bit black oil stain into the brown one and go on.
