For the serious 1959 replica builder: vintage correct is to glue in the frets into the fretslots using fishglue. Furthermore (tinted black) fishlue was used for gluing in the MOP logo.

We offer best Canadian high tack FISHGLUE for these processes; as you need this stuff just in little quantities (fretslots + logo) we filled this stuff up to a handy

Little lasts long: quantity is good for approx. 5+ Les Paul replicas (fretslots + logos).

You can use fishglue for all kinds of wood joints in guitar making, Jose Romanillos is a big fan of fish glue, using it for almost all wood joints: see 1:30min on Youtube regarding Romanillos + Fishglue

Advantages are:

- cold bonding

- high tack and long open time

- joints can be "opened" with water

- easy clean up: use a cloth that is damped with warm water

- no creeping, heat does not weaken the joint: makes it great for gluing
  multi-layer sides as the bending on a hot iron causes no problems. 

- excellent bonding strength

Store cold (fridge), for using warm it up to room temperature (the warmer the more fluid fishglue gets). If the consistency at room temperature is too thick for your job just add some drops of water to the fishglue and dispense well.
