Leinölfirnis, 500 ML

Finest boiled LINSEED OIL, twice coocked, filtered, kobalt-free and ready to use; this comes from a traditional German company that makes special colors and paints for artists (no refilled stuff from homedepot).

Used for mixing a sealer for the wood at the beginning of the French polishing process before pore filling, it´s light brown color enhances the wood figure. This is the stuff that was traditionally used as the base for a high grade French polish. For this the bolied linseed oil has to be mixed 1:1 with terpentine for deep penetrating the wood. 10% addition of pure Orange oil makes the oil penetrating the wood even better (and less "smelly"). 
Let mix dry fully before going on with pore filling and applying the shellac coates.

For making a vintage correct LES PAUL replica you need boiled linseed oil for mixing the oil based filler (for this you need additionally NC lacquer and finest 4F pumice; vintage Gibson-recipy on request).
The 500ml bottle is good for mixing the oil based filler for approx. 6-8 guitars (depending on how "generous" you are working with the final product).
