Pearloid sheet for inlays

Vintage Les Paul fretboards got crown inlays made of pearloid installed.

This material is no longer being manufactured in the US or Europe and is hard to get.

Here we offer for the engaged replica maker a piece of celluloid that is good for 1+ set of Les Paul crown inlays: save compared to getting the (excellent) ready-made sets from a renowned seller in the US.

This is "old-formula" pearloid: it will age by being exposed to UV and will become vintage-brownish.

@ 2.0mm oversized in thickness, you will need to sand your inlays down in case you are going for vintage thickness of 1.0mm.

For glueing pearloid (=celluloid) you will need an aceton-based glue (superglue will not work). We offer such professional glue here - or make your own glue from pearloid offcuts solved with aceton.

CAUTION: pearloid is technically the same material as celluloid and highly flamable! Clean any chips or dust from working with using a wet cloth or brush (do not use a vacuum hoover). Best is to store any chips etc. in a glass of water before getting rid of them.
